Web/UX Design

Although I specialize in static graphic design, I also loving learning about and practicing web and UX design. Below are some projects that I’ve worked on, some for freelance and some just for fun.

Website design for Statue Films, using Squarespace. This is the website I designed for one of my best friends, Nnamdi, for his film studio Statue Films. Nnamdi releases skate videos through Statue, and wanted the website to not only host the videos but also have a shop functionality. It took a few weeks, but we were able to put something together that did both, while also using some Super-8 footage that he had recently shot to give the site an authentically grungy feel.

Website design for Bin 14, using Squarespace. In addition to designing the logo and branding for Bin 14, I also put together the store’s website. As a physical retailer, they didn’t feel the need for a storefront on the site, but we did add a regularly updated “New Booze” page that features new arrivals. Also included was a sign-up page, so that visitors can receive emails about events and sales.

App mockup created in Figma for clorophyll, a fictional bouquet company. I mocked up this app in 2023 as a way to teach myself Figma’s interface and learn more about UX design in general. As you can see, I started out with a pretty loose napkin sketch, and used it as inspiration during the design process to wireframe my pages.

The app has it’s limitations and there are many things I would do differently today, but I found it an enjoyable exercise and would love to do more work like this in the future.
